Sceptre C275B-1858RN – Best Budget Gaming Monitor For PS5
The first thing you will notice about the Sceptre C275B-1858RN gaming monitor is its curved screen. For a gaming monitor that is in the $200 region, we don’t expect to get all the premium features, but this Sceptre C275B-1858RN monitor offers us just enough.
I used this gaming monitor for at least two weeks before writing this review, and its price is great. It sports 144Hz and 1080p.
I noticed that the response time is quick enough not to show any significant difference if you have been using a TV with a 1ms response time.
I noticed a faint line halfway across the screen. You wouldn’t notice it unless you are on a gray background. I also noticed that many pictures and images have a faint edge around them, and these two, in my view, are defects. I want to believe this is found only on the monitor sent to me.
This isn’t the first time I’m using a Sceptre monitor, and the company sure has a good history when it comes to computer screens. I have used their monitors before, so I can vouch for durability.
The screws required to mount the base of this monitor are provided, and I found them too easy to assemble. The panel was wrapped, and the screen comes with a screen protector.
This screen was designed mainly for gaming and performed well throughout the test. I connected my gaming laptop to this gaming monitor using an HDMI cord, and I was able to achieve close to 144Hz after lowering my in-game settings because the GPU reached its limit. Overall, this gaming monitor is great for its price.
Sceptre C305W-2560UN 30″ – Best Curved Monitor for PS5
I loved that this gaming monitor sports a curved screen, and it’s ultra-wide. You get a thin frame, so the 30 inches look like many 27 inches ultra-wide monitors. The monitor comes with a light strip on the back, if you’d like to turn it off, you can do that from the monitor settings.
Setting up was a hassle, especially if you’re not tech-savvy. It doesn’t come out of the box with an HDMI cord and adapter, so you’d need to buy one to connect it to your laptop or gaming console.
Opening multiple windows is supported on this monitor, so apart from gaming, it’s perfect for work-from-home professionals.
The speakers were the one thing I didn’t like about the Sceptre C305W-2560UN. The speakers are incredibly low DB, so low that most phone speakers can easily outwit it.
I also had issues with the quality of the pictures on some games. Overall, if you need a powerful gaming monitor on a budget, the Sceptre C305W-2560UN is one amazingly cheap gaming monitor for PS5.
AOC G2590FX 25″ – Cheap Gaming Monitor for PS5
The AOC G2590FX Gaming Monitor is probably one of the best gaming monitors you will find in this price range. For gaming, the monitor is amazing. When I plugged it in, the NVIDIA experience popup showed almost immediately, and I get a “G-Sync compatible monitor plugged in” notification.
Playing Fallout 76, DayZ, and Borderlands 2 on the gaming monitor was cool. When paired with RTX 2070, the games look very real. The monitor came with an HDMI cable, but we didn’t see the DP (display port) cable, so you might have to invest some extra cash in getting a display port cable.
You also get 144Hz and 60fps, which help you get an even more comfortable gameplay experience. You will notice that your in-game movements and aiming are more precise and smooth. After using this monitor for like a month, I noticed visible improvements in the aim and movement.
So outside the facts that this PC comes with a 144Hz FreeSync, adjustable stand, looks premium, has a good array of ports to choose from, and is compatible with laptops at 144Hz, I didn’t like the fact that the screen is too bright. The colors also looked completely washed out even before calibration.
Overall, after color calibration, considering that you get G-Sync, and at this price, the AOC G2590FX Gaming Monitor is an amazing addition to your gaming setup.
Sceptre C275B-144RR 27″ – Best Gaming Monitor for Ps4 under $200
The Sceptre C275B-144RR is an interesting addition to this list. Gaming was pretty fast, and the fact that it comes with built-in speakers, delivering office-level audio quality, was something I loved about the Sceptre C275B-144RR gaming monitor.
The picture quality was good, I loved that it comes with a 144Hz refresh rate, and the metal stand was nicely built. For gaming, I tested this monitor with PUBG on Xbox, and I think it helped improve the gameplay experience, with a response time that saw considerable improvement. Around 1 ms response time.
The one thing I did notice about the monitor I was sent was that it had a stuck pixel. That is something I have noticed with monitors in this range.
Sceptre E248B-FPT168 IPS 24″ – Best Monitor for PS5 Fortnite
The Sceptre E248B-FPT168 is one of the latest gaming monitors from Sceptre, and it sure sports some of the best features we have found on any gaming monitor in its range. It’s the latest cheap gaming monitor for PS5 on this list.
Off the bat, I’d like to say that this is a 144Hz 1ms 1080p gaming laptop under $200. It didn’t come with any dead pixels, and that’s something I have not found on many gaming monitors.
The menu is clean, and it functions correctly. The display is very bright, but you can control the brightness to fit your gaming setup. If you’re gaming in a dark room, I recommend setting the blue light to 30% so as not to cause eye irritations.
I loved the graphics and everything about the visuals. When gaming, the screen tries to amplify every detail. I played CSGO and Valorant with this gaming monitor and loved the experience.
You will be able to push the monitor to give you up to 165Hz using a display port and have it plugged into your graphics card, not your motherboard. It comes with only a display port cord out of the box, so you might have to invest in an HDMI cable.
You will get a small booklet, screwdriver, 4 screws, and rubber screw covers out-of-the-box. In my opinion, the Sceptre E248B-FPT168 setup is completely beginner-friendly.
You would be getting a 24 inches monitor, though, so if you have become used to playing games on 27+ inches gaming monitors, then you would notice a remarkable difference in the look and feel.

Asus VG278QR – Good Console Gaming Monitor for PS5
The Asus VG278QR is an awesome choice for a big screen with lightning-fast speeds and vibrant colors. Plus, it’s compatible with not only PCs but also both PS5 and Xbox gaming consoles.
Straight out of the box, this monitor impresses with its stunning color accuracy and picture quality – no extra calibration is needed! With a whopping 144Hz refresh rate that can even be pushed to 165Hz without hiccups, it truly delivers top-notch performance when put to the test while gaming on my PS5 and Xbox One X.
But what I appreciate most about this monitor is its versatility. It’s easy to calibrate via OSD or GPU control panel to get the best experience possible, regardless of your use case. For instance, setting your RGB to full GPU control can further enhance display quality.
The build of this monitor is also fantastic – sturdy enough to last long-term while still being ergonomically adjustable based on your preferences. And since it comes equipped with two internal speakers delivering excellent sound quality right off the bat (unless external speakers are desired), there’s no need to worry about any lagging audio either.
However – as much praise as I have for this budget-friendly monitor – keep in mind that its emphasis leans more towards speed than graphics perfection; those who prioritize exceptional graphics over responsiveness may find they’ll need another option instead.
Overall though? The Asus VG278QR offers great value with its price point alongside ease-of-assembly support plus wonderful color/picture paired seamlessly together once assembled (it took me seconds), making investing in one an absolute no-brainer especially considering how good it looks sitting atop my desk right now!”
LG 27GL650F-B – Best Affordable Gaming Monitor Under $500
The LG 27GL650F-B ranks among my top-budget gaming monitors for PS5. It remains a market leader due to features such as Sync technology, an impressive 144Hz refresh rate, and adjustable height, pivot, and tilt options.
These attributes make it a highly ergonomic gaming monitor. Additionally, you can expect a 5ms refresh rate and 1ms motion blur reduction.
I observed no backlight bleed or dead pixels, and the IPS display delivers excellent color quality and brightness.
The HDR adds depth to most games, while FreeSync prevents screen tearing in 1st-person and 3rd-person shooter games. With a 350-nit display, you can anticipate exceptionally bright whites.
I recommend accessing the Advanced Display Settings and changing the display settings from “Whatever Windows Decides” to “144Hz” when playing PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch console games.
The LG 27GL650F-B gaming monitor’s outstanding quality, lack of dead pixels and graphical glitches, adjustable and sturdy stand, solid build and weight, and response time and refresh rate combine to make it one of the best affordable gaming monitors for PS5.
So those are our cheap gaming monitors, PS5 and Xbox. It sure will become a stunning addition to your gaming setup. I tried to stick within and around the $200 and $300 range, a pretty fair range for a cheap gaming monitor for PS5 that comes out of the box with considerably healthy features.
