Acer Predator – Best 32-inch 4K HDR Monitor for Console Gaming

The Acer Predator XB321HK is a 32-inch, 3840 x 2160 gaming monitor. The monitor has two out-of-the-box speakers, four USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI, and a DisplayPort. The monitor has a 144Hz refresh rate, which can be upgraded to 165Hz using the DisplayPort.

Acer Predator XB321HK

You can expect a remarkable difference when using the Acer Predator XB321HK, especially if you’re using a 4K gaming monitor for the first time.

I loved how much detail I was able to see in games; I was able to see the texture of the fabrics on The Witcher 3 clearly, and even the wrinkles on Geralt’s face. If you are playing on an Xbox One X, PS4, PS4 Pro, or even the PS5 gaming console, this is one of the best choices you can get on the market.

On the hardware, the Acer Predator XB321HK feels strong, and the build looks solid. It also sports that gamey feel, which is something you’d love if you’re a pro gamer.

Acer Predator XB321HK

Of all the monitors on this list, the Acer Predator XB321HK remains the best 4K monitor for console gaming and the best 32-inch 4K monitor for console gaming. It beats all other options on our list, hands down.

BenQ EL2870U – Best 4K HDR Monitor for Console Gaming

The BenQ EL2870U is one high-quality gaming monitor that comes with everything your PS4, PS4 Pro, and Xbox One and One X support.

The color and picture quality was superb for a gaming monitor with a 28-inch display. You get more depth, seeing details you wouldn’t otherwise see on other gaming monitors that aren’t 4K.

BenQ EL2870U

I played the new Age of Empires II on this monitor, and I can’t better explain how mesmerizing the experience was. You could see how saturated and natural the colors were.

While the speakers aren’t the loudest you’ll find out there, they work well, and the sound quality that they produce is also pretty great. Setting up the monitor was seamless; the onscreen settings weren’t the best, in my opinion, but it was pretty detailed and easy to navigate.

The monitor comes with a VESA mount support, so if you decide to hang it on the wall or a monitor stand, you shouldn’t have issues.

Philips 276E8VJSB – Best Budget 4K Monitor for Console Gaming

The Philips 276E8VJSB is one of the best budget 4K monitors for console gaming you can find on the market. It’s cheaper, which means it doesn’t have a lot of the many features that make others pricier. It comes with a 4K display, which produces superb video, picture quality, and great depth.

Philips 276E8VJSB

Gaming with the Philips 276E8VJSB was great; the vibrant colors did make up for the imperfections we had on the resolutions front. Even from a distance, everything still looks beautiful and pristine. It also comes with a little curve, which is something you’d easily notice if you are coming from a curved gaming monitor.

The curve works well for protecting your eyes and helping you avoid eye strains and headaches, so marathon gaming shouldn’t always cause you harm, although it’s still recommended to take a walk away from gaming now and then.

Philips 276E8VJSB - Best Budget 4K Monitor for Console Gaming

The Philips 276E8VJSB is pretty bright; it also has settings to adjust the display settings to fit your preference easily.

The monitor also comes with two loudspeakers that are loud enough, at least for a medium-sized room.

I almost always have to raise my voice to be heard with this speaker turned on. The sound was pretty straightforward; I didn’t notice any distortions.

Philips 276E8VJSB

Overall, I loved the build of the Philips 276E8VJSB. Tilting was an issue for me, though, as I didn’t think it came with much freedom. I also noticed that it doesn’t have an easily assessable VESA mount, so you would have to open the back of the monitor, which is a more technical route. But overall, the Philips 276E8VJSB is one of the best budget 4K monitors for console gaming you will find on the market.

LG 27UL650-W – Best 4k Gaming Monitor For PS5, PS4

If you are looking for a good 4K monitor for Xbox One X, here is probably one you shouldn’t miss out on. You get crisp 4K, amazing contrast levels, and brilliant color and picture quality. The HDR makes every single one of the characters look their best.

One of the best features of the monitor is its onscreen notification when using HDR. The gaming monitor comes with 4 different HDR modes. There is the HDR Vivid, HDR Game, HDR Standard, and HDR Cinema. So, you should be able to use the monitor for things other than gaming. The side bezels were almost non-existent, which is remarkable about the monitor.

I tried to keep the mode at HDR Game when playing games like FIFA and Tomb Raider. This delivered the most accurate colors and response time. The main explanation for why the contrast levels and brightness are phenomenal is the IPS panel.

LG 27UL650-W - Best 4k Gaming Monitor For PS5, PS4

Its build makes it one of the most ergonomic gaming monitors, as it swivels, tilts and can be used in portrait mode. It comes with a 178-degree viewing angle; the stand is adjustable, so you can always set it to the height best for your setup. I should also add that the monitor comes with support for VESA. So you should be able to mount it on either a monitor stand or a wall.

Overall, the LG 27UL650-W deserves a place on this list and a shot at being the best 4K monitor for console gaming for coming with many improvements, both in sound quality, picture and video quality, ergonomics support, and quality of the build.

LG 24UD58-B – Best Gaming Monitor for PS4 Pro

The LG 24UD58-B handles my games very well. The monitor display is clear, sharp, and very dependable. It also comes with a hidden joystick on the center-right corner of the monitor for controlling and navigating through the menu and settings.

LG 24UD58-B - Best Gaming Monitor for PS4 Pro

I played games like Far Cry 5, Dirt Rally 2.0, The Witcher 3, and FIFA on my PS4 console using this monitor, and it was superb. I didn’t notice any dead pixels, no backlight bleeding, and the refresh rate and response time were excellent.

The LG 24UD58-B comes with a pretty high DPI on an IPS panel. It’s not an HDR monitor, but the backlights are fine. The monitor’s build looks solid, it’s sturdy, and for its price, it is one of the best quality you can get on the market.

LG 24UD58-B - Best Gaming Monitor for PS4 Pro

You also get features like FreeSync, On-Screen Control with screen split, game mode, black stabilizer, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and one DisplayPort.

LG 27UK850-W – Best 1080p Gaming Monitor

The first gaming console I used this 4K monitor with was the Xbox One X, and the screen quality was just perfect out of the box. The LG 27UK850-W is solidly built and sturdy and has a healthy response time and refresh rate of 60Hz. I didn’t experience any lags when playing FPS games, the IPS glow was pretty minimal, and it sports support for HDR.

The screen was crispy, the color and picture quality it produced were top-notch, and the gameplay on a 4K monitor was superb. You’d see more in-game details – details you’d probably not see without a high-quality 4K gaming monitor. I tried gaming with other consoles and a PC, and they all performed well, with no screen tearing, dead pixels, or bleeding screen.

You will be getting support for a couple of USB connections on the back of the monitor, so if you’d like to game with a webcam, they always come in handy. You also get built-in speakers with this monitor, and while it’s great as a feature, I wouldn’t say the sound was as good as you would expect.

There is a setting to control the display, color quality, contrast, and even the screen’s brightness. So you should be able to customize the monitor to fit your gaming setup.

LG 27UK850-W

While it allows you to tilt, it doesn’t support swivel or height adjustments. Overall, for its price and a couple of interesting features that come with the LG 27UK850-W, I think it’s a sure contender for one of the best 4K monitors for console gaming.
